Most things in my life I started out of curiosity. I worked as a goatherd in Israel, then in agriculture in Greece, sold jewelry on the streets of Venice Beach and learned about Bedouin life in Egypt. I waitressed my ass off while studying dance, flirted a bit with art & photography and then worked in restoring historical buildings such as Hamburg’s town hall.

By taking all these turns I found my real passion and my current profession, which I took up almost 15 years ago now. Exploring in real life and on my screen feeds that need for new perspectives. Beautiful pictures can excite me just as well as outtakes do. The surprisingly different rhythms a narrative can take on – that is what I love about my job.
